Habitat: In a hill of horse poop, right after a rain on the side of a bigger hill. Gills: Mostly Jet Black, a few little ones are kinda milk chocolatey and lighter but the top of the mushroom had black prints on top with blue bruising.
Stem: White-ish, mostly brown with a rusty red tint. Lines going up the stem, some mushrooms had twisty lines, others just swerved and went straight up.
Cap: White with a gold tint, a lot of black caps from spores falling on top. Some scales on the dried up specimens.
Spore print color: Mostly dark, dark brown or dark jet black.
Bruising: Blue bruising on more than half the specimens.
Location: North Eastern Ontario

Do paps bruise blue ? I have quite a few I didn't take pictures of that clearly bruised dark blue.

I don't think that Panaeolus clearly bruise blue in my experience. Maybe a slight tinge to the mycelium near the base.
And no Paps do not bruise blue.

It is slight bruising, I'm just excited and I can see little hints of blue on most of them. Ill post pictures of the blue bruised ones when I can !
The third picture bruised blue on the cap, does everyone still say pap ?

Ok more pics are better. Try separating your finds. Also take spore prints blah blah you should know this right. I like PanEolus. Some people get cranky.
Wait for someone else thats a trusted identifier before you eat any.

You certainly have a mix with Panaeolus papilionaceus in there, but I'd like to see more photos of the cluster in the first and fifth photo. Those to me look very promising.
When I find "Panaeolus cinctulus" in manure they are large and very often bruise blue at the base of the stems.

I've never seen a cap like number 3. That one looks like a combination of spores, and magic marker lol, but I'm sure it's natural.
Interesting.
Edit: Actually number 3. Looks like a sun dried Panaeolus that was scratched by a fork then someone with a lighter and a blue marker had their way with it.

Those bigger flatter ones could be cinctulus. The last pic is certainly a pap though.

Maybe the bluing on the caps you are seeing is just the spore deposit from the larger mushrooms above. I'm seeing more Paps than first time I glanced.

It's a mixed collection of cinctulus and papilionaceus.
The ones that have expanded caps like the ones in the first photo are cinctulus, the ones which still have the bell shape when mature is papilionaceus (like the last photo)

I think you are right. Many are cints, but it is definitely a mixed collection. In the last pic I can see the purple spores on the stipe right near the cap. That one is a pap and there are others there too.

Paps have black spores just like cinctulus, they are both Panaeolus.

Hmm. I must be confused. I could have sworn they had a slightly purple tinge to their print. Any any case it is still a pap. Sorry for the misinformation.

It is Panaeolina foenescii that has the brown spores, Not Panaeolus papilionaceus.

I noticed all the ones that looked like paps after what everyone said, sorted them took a spore print even though they're all jet black. These pictures are all the mushrooms that I decided to keep and get another ID on. There was blue bruising on mostly all the stems except the skinnier stems.
