It's been a banner year. This is entirely gloating.
Left-to-right then up-and-down... lobsters, lobsters, chanterelle, leucopaxillus (bitter), agaricus augustus and lobster and me, king lobster lobster and lake stones spanish porcini (taken IN SPAIN... holy moley it was so cool), anise clitocybe, chanterelle, chanterelle, mix of green hypomyces lactifluorum/puffball/lactarius deliciosus Chanterelle, chanterelle, chanterelle, mix of bounty

I forget that people don't post face pics on this site very often. Thanks for the compliments, bros.
Oeric: The gigantic mushroom in pic five is indeed agaricus augustus. We spotted it from the car and had to kick it in reverse after processing what we'd seen.
Ganzig: I did peel back the moss to find those lobsters! I was following a trail of red and noticed a suggestive shrump. I find I do a lot of digging when I go mushrooming; more than most people... generally they are deformed by the things they are growing under. I win the 'ugliest mushroom' category every time.
gsh55: Spanish Porcini! I'm going to post on that once I get my camera out from under all my gear. It was fricking AMAZING and grew in one of the most beautiful places (Ochola) I've ever been. We ate the best ones like carpaccio sprinkled with wild thyme and oregano. With others we made risotto, soup, and arancini stuffed with idizabal cheese. Lobster mushrooms I generally just sautee with butter and maybe a little garlic, and ideally made over the fire. I like to chop them so they really resemble lobster meat. They are so good with fresh pasta. Simple is best.

Those lobsters cooking on the fire look so yummy!!! Does the lemon overpower the flavor or add to it. I would guess add to it since you seem to know your shit Keep up the awesome work! I got fam in Canada. I always thought yall have the most beautiful place on earth from a wilderness point of view. You and your hubby are lucky! Hope I dint offend
I know cchicken of the woods has th texture of chicken with a hint of lemon. I added garlic to them first time I cooked them and it overpowered the crap out of them tasted more bitter. Is why I ask I see a half lemon in your pan.
I say post more pictures of you hunting mushrooms and you could easily get 1000 views a day! Keep it up girl AWESOME! lol long as your hubby dont get jealous easy that is
